The original core to a France-based company that would eventually grow to be a world-wide publisher of graphic novels and games. It was started as a free-standing publisher in 1974 as a sort of co-operative of French artists, loosely lead by the likes of Moebius. In 1988, it was bought by Fabrice Giger, where it was integrated into, and more or less gave its name to, a larger worldwide publishing ambition.
Now technically an imprint, Les Humanoïdes Associés is the arm of the larger Humanoids Group which produces the greatest variety of original work.
However, this output is exclusively in French. Books from this imprint--especially recent ones--often do not have an English-language version. If one exists, it will be found under the listing for Humanoids Publishing.
