Letters Column: Lost in the Stars

Opal City has been encased in a black shadowy bubble by Shade. Aided with his henchmen, he plots the utter destruction of Opal City. He wrecks havoc in the streets before commandeering the television broadcast system and announcing his plan to the world. He threatens Sadie on live television and Jack appears, but his staff's power is sapped because of the darkness. But when Jack tangles with the legions of Shade's henchmen, Shade doubles over, fighting something within himself. He realizes that all this time, he was being controlled by his arch-enemy, Simon Culp.
