Groo becomes involved with ivory traders, but discovers from the natives that they take the ivory and leave the elephants to rot. He then joins with the natives to mete out justice; when he fails, they get rid of him by directing him to a legendary ivory graveyard where all elephants go to die. He follows a dying elephant there and is euphoric; the story ends moments before he is crushed into oblivion by the falling elephant

Bit of a pain, this one: the first letter of each boldface word in the issue spells out: "Congratulations, you have found the hidden message for this issue. There is no message in the Sage story. Say, why not try an issue of The DNAgents or Crossfire, on sale everywhere!"
