Based on Herman Melville's novel "Moby Dick", this issue follows Ishmael as he decides it's time to see the world and take to the sea, so he travels to New Bedford in the hopes to sail out of Nantucket on a whaler. He is hired by Captains Peleg and Bidad to sail aboard the Pequod, under Captain Ahab. This issue ends as they sail out on Christmas Day.
