Worlds' End (Sandman)

This tale told at the Inn at the Worlds' End is told by Petrefax, an apprentice at the Necropolis. His story contains stories within stories regarding the dead, the undead, and burial rituals. They include the story of the destruction of the previous Necropolis by the Endless when they went to do the death ritual for the original Despair.
