Synopsis: Transcript of a July 22, 1978 discussion between TCJ's KIM THOMPSON and Marvel writer MARV WOLFMAN. In an introductory note, Thompson states the interview was Wolfman's idea and that it served as Wolfman's response to Thompson's scathing review of SPIDER-WOMAN #1 ("Incest in the Marvel Family" from TCJ #39). Thompson says much of the interview "revolves around points I raised in my review ... and at times it seemed more as if HE were interviewing ME." The 16-page interview covers a lot of ground and provides thoroughly engaging and informative reading even many years later.

Synopsis: DWIGHT DECKER calls 'em as he sees 'em in this take-no-prisoners appraisal of comics that uses as its springboard MARK GRUENWALD's long ago challenge to select 10 comics you'd take on a starship flight to Cygnus VII.
Notes: EDDIE EDDINGS and DENNIS FUJITAKE contribure cartoons that complement Decker's piece. Opposite Decker's column is a full-page illustration by FRED HEMBECK featuring Superman, The Question, Spider-Man and Little Archie.
