Synopsis:
Two twelve-page stories comprise this flipbook comic: "The Bill Clinton Story" and "The Gennifer Flowers Story." Detailed in each story are the biographies of each person and his or her charges and/or defenses in what proved to be a huge scandal going into the 1992 presidential election. Gennifer Flowers' claim to having had an affair with then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton is examined, including the famous 60 Minutes appearance by Bill and Hillary. Personalities that appear are the Clinton campaign's "spin doctors" George Stephanopoulos and James Carville, then-New York Governor Mario Cuomo and controversial Clinton associate Larry Nichols. History presented in an entertaining format.
Notes:
Michael Apice is credited with the paintings that appear throughout the story. Text pages provide an informative glossary on the personalities mentioned in the stories, as well as editorials discussing Clinton's first year in office (including one penned by the late William Kunstler). A full color, glossy centerfold features a poster of Hillary Clinton as "Hilla the Hun." This is a flip comic that readers can open from either end, one featuring Flowers and the other Clinton. Drew Friedman illustrated both covers with caricatures drawn in his distinctive style.
