Synopsis:
Iron Man is obsessed with taking down Anton Vanko (Crimson Dynamo), who was among a group of villains who have escaped custody. Vanko built a suit of armor that rivals Iron Man's, but Tony Stark believes he is using stolen Iron Man technology which he will not stand for. As the Avengers find Vanko, they are met by the Winter Guard, a Russian super force who have been tasked with bringing Vanko in for his crimes against his own country. After initial distrust, the two teams realize they are on the same side, but Vanko escapes after causing Titanium Man's power core to explode. Vanko is later met by the Masters of Evil who are creating a power base to destroy the Avengers.

Synopsis:
During a showdown between the Hulk and the Awesome Android, the Mad Thinker attempts to goad Ant-Man into transforming into Giant-Man to help. Ant-Man finds this odd, so he locates a nerve cluster on the android for Hulk to smash, ending the conflict. The Mad Thinker explains that he wanted Ant-Man to use his Pym Particles so that Quasimodo could analyze and replicate the energy, which could have led to unknown, but no doubt dire, consequences. Meanwhile, Ant-Man had summoned his insect friends to swarm Quasimodo and the Mad Thinker, who turned out to be another android himself. Hulk gained just a little more respect for his diminutive counterpart.
