Synopsis:
Wolverine is re-imagined as a 17th century Japanese ronin - a samurai without a master, and one who seemingly cannot die. He has vowed to avenge his fallen master, but has strayed from that path. But when death comes to his door, he finds a new path.

Plot (Spoilers):

Wolverine is re-imagined as one of many identical looking samaurai who's master was killed, leaving them as ronin - masterless. One of these ronin is ambushed and killed by a masked warrior, and a wandering drunk is the only witness.

Weeks later the drunk sees Wolverine in a tavern, and thinks he was the ronin that he saw killed. The drunk thinks Wolverine must be the legendary ronin that cannot die - a legend born because these particular ronin all look alike, making people think they don't die.

Wolverine finds the buried body of his brother ronin, and is attacked by the masked warrior, who is revealed to be another of Wolverine's ronin brothers. However, this one is working for the Daimyo - a newly arisen leader - and has been ordered to kill his fellow ronin.

Wolverine fights and kills the warrior, and takes the metal claws he was wearing as his own. Now, Wolverine must kill the Daimyo to avenge his master.
