Doom Patrol (DC)(02 - New Doom Patrol)

The protests against the Doom Patrol heat up as Lex Luthor comes to Kansas City, ostensibly to donate money to Hospital Hill. Maddax the Destroyer appears amongst the crowd, attacking the crowd control police with an energy axe, claiming to be an ally of the Doom Patrol. Mr. Benjamin gives Roy Elston another bribe to get him to put small explosives on the roof of Union Station. Everything is part of a plan by Luthor to control the Doom Patrol.

Thurston-Watts Circus

Rhea Jones visits the Thurston-Watts Circus after hours and tries out the trapeze to see if she still has the knack. She gets caught by the young ringmaster, Barry Thurston, whose father has been sole owner of the circus since he bought out parther Ted Watts. A creditor named Hunt has brought some enforcers that very evening demanding the money from Mr. Thurston that they know he doesn't have because he has to pay for insurance. Hunt breaks the arm of Ramon, a trapeze artist, in order to collect the insurance money, and Rhea fills in for him.
