Synopsis:
Navigators and explorers are a special breed -- they blaze the paths others will follow. They must have strength, drive, and hope, and be more than a little fearless. But nowhere is it written that they must have luck. Gav and Jori Daragon make their living charting the routes of hyperspace and selling those routes to traders and haulers. When a starswarm cluster batters their ship, they land on the planet Cinnagar, destitue and forlorn, and convince the relatively amiable Aarrba the Hutt to make the necessary repairs.

Reprinted/Collected in:
Star Wars (1995) Band 14
Star Wars Omnibus (2006) Omnibus TPB vol. 04
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - The Golden Age of the Sith (1996) TPB

Notes:
5000 years before ANH. Note that this places this series chronologically before the rest of the Tales of the Jedi series, despite being the 5th volume according to date of publication. It also, therefore, has the distinction of being the earliest story yet told in the Star Wars universe's chronology.
