Synopsis:
The Doom Patrol are honored at an annual civic assocation dinner, but refuse to provide knowledge to the sponsoring newspaper about The Chief. The Chief, who has yet to reveal even his name to the Patrol, tells each of them a different story. He tells Rita that he is an alien from another world. Publisher Roy Jamison gave Rita a cigarette lighter at the dinner that takes the chief's photo, which is then substituted for one that records his voice.
