After disintegrating in a fight with the Fantastic Four, Robert Grayson's (AKA Marvel Boy) wristbands are handed over to S.H.I.E.L.D. for study. S.H.I.E.L.D. in turn contacts Stark International for assistance. The project is assigned to Dr. Gilbert Vaughn, whose son, Wendell, has just finished S.H.I.E.L.D training and is assigned to security for the project. Unfortunately, no one who wears the wristbands seems to be able to control the vast amounts of energy. When A.I.M. attacks, it's up to Wendell to don the strange weapons to save his father and the project.
