Seeking a way to regain his super speed, Professor Zoom creates the mysterious "Element Z". In order to ensure Element Z's stability, Zoom must return to the past and obtain the assistance of the newly-reformed Element Man. Sending him on a forced robbery spree, Mr. Element temporarily returns to his villainous ways and helps Zoom, who then returns to the 25th Century, followed by the Flash. While there, the Flash stops Zoom and learns of Mr. Element's innocence, allowing him to reform once more.
