Synopsis:
Omega Squad isn't exactly the best training gig a cadet at the Academy could hope for. Just ask Matt Decker. Despite his best efforts, he's ended up with, frankly, a little less than the "best and brightest" the Academy has to offer.

Chief among his concerns about Omega Squad is his new team member, Nog--Starfleet's first Ferengi cadet. It's hard enough for Nog to simply socialize on planet Earth. But when a care package from his uncle Quark transforms a holodeck training simulation into a life-threatening meeting with the Gorn, Decker's patience and Nog's inter-species social skills are put through a test of fire.
