[Arc #4] (Star Trek: Early Voyages)

Picking up from the start of issue #12--the timeline having been restored to before the point Colt started mucking about with the strange object from Algol II--Pike is now on the away mission to which April sent him. April, meanwhile, is onboard Enterprise and is shocked to find crew morale and productivity so low.

On the xenophobic world of Temazi, Pike must disguise himself as a local to make his true intent unknown. He's there looking for a hidden supply of advanced weapons. He hopes to find them before the Klingons do. Unfortunately his "old friend" Kaaj has come back from his Pike-imposed exile, and is outraged to find Pike on the same mission as himself.
