Synopsis:
Near a small town reminiscent of a traditional African village, relic hunters are forced deep into a hidden, and incongruously futuristic bunker. On the run from pursuers, they penetrate the structure with great haste, barely having time to note that the glass objects around them are actually coffins housing the decomposed remains of people long since dead. They eventually find a strange machine deep within the bunker, which releases a strange force that comes to their assistance.

Their pursuers now vanquished, they have greater time to concentrate on what's around them. Amidst the decaying corpses, they find a young man who is very much alive--and very much a perfect specimen of health.

The only problem is that he has no memory of who he is or why he was in the bunker.

The relic hunters decide to bring the man back to their village, giving him the name Redhand. There, he quickly integrates himself into the life of the town, showing that he can be trusted. He also shows that he has great power. On one occasion, he saves a mother and her child from drowning.

Still, the village's religious leader is wary of Redhand. There's a prophecy that troubles him. It says that one day, a man without name, born adult, with powers to rival a god, will destroy the supreme god. While most of the town is quick to invite Redhand into their hearts, the village shaman believes that Redhand is actually the killer of gods . . .

Notes:
Publisher's original solicitation:
