Synopsis: Cliff Steele, a.k.a. Robotman, drops into the old Doom Patrol headquarters, but it turns out an old friend is looking to get the drop on him. As a stalling (and expository) technique, the headquarters' computer prompts Robotman to recite the history of the Doom Patrol.
Notes: The story here is a direct prelude to Doom Patrol #1.
This story's title page includes the following credit: "Featuring characters created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, Murray Boltinoff, Bruno Premiani, Paul Kupperberg, and Joe Staton."
This issue shows the Doom Patrol teamed with Power Girl to fight Reactron. This is a post-Crisis alteration. These events originally featured Supergirl.
Synopsis: This is mostly a text piece by Joey Cavalieri, who recounts the history of the Doom Patrol and its creators. It has a few panels of art as well, but they appear to be reprinted from earlier tales.
Notes: One of the reprinted panels carries the following credits:
Paul Kupperberg -- writer; Steve Lightle -- penciller; Gary Martin -- inker; John Workman -- letterer; Carl Gafford -- colorist; Mike Gold -- editor.
