Synopsis:
After paying his last respects to Al Harper, the Silver Surfer returns to Al's home and studies his research into space and time. Having the idea that if he traveled to the far future Galactus' barrier would no longer exist, the Surfer makes the risky trek.
In the far future, the Surfer learns that Galactus' barrier no longer exists, as well as life across the universe has been totally annihilated. It is then that the Surfer learns of the invincible mutant the Overlord, who has wiped out life in the universe. Unable to accept the future as it is, the Surfer travels back in time to prevent the accident which created the Overlord, thus ensuring that the future will not happen before returning to his own time.
