Synopsis:
In Middlesbrough of the 1940s, a German fighter collided with an alien spacecraft. Though officially recorded as an Allied "kill", a UNIT investigation in the present day positively identifies the German incident as the result of extra-terrestrial encounter.

Disturbingly, the Doctor reveals that a young records clerk named Alex Evening has previously discovered all this on his own, and has been using the alien craft to kidnap beautiful women and trap them in his own fantasy world . . .

Notes:
Part One of "Evening's Empire" appeared in this issue, but was never concluded within the pages of DWM. The artists missed their deadline for Issue 181, and the story languished, unfinished, for years. It was eventually published, in its entirety, in Classic Comics Holiday Special.
