Our heros Manslaughter, Valkyrie, Interloper, Andromeda and Dr. Strange return to follow the trail of their attacker through the burning city of Manchester. They encounter skin heads who can with one blow revert the Defenders to their mortal form. The Defenders are on the brink of defeat when again Dafydd who now posses the power of King Aruther leader of the Pendragon, saves the day by simply ordering the men to stop. Using the sword Strange gave to Valkyrie called Dragonfang a portal is open to Dragon King's location. Dragon King is responsible for using mens anger and despair to cause destruction. Dayfdd drives the Dragon out of the body it was inhabiting and Valkyrie stabs the Dragon King with her sword. The Defenders using Dayfdd as a re-forged talisman which had been responsible for keeping the Titan Dragon King from the 616 dimension, create a gigantic sword to banish him from the 616 dimension.
