Letters Column: Runes To The Realm

Cha'tak in Brachmon is under seige by an army of goblins led by Gen. Ramus.

Prince Randell and Rhiann ride with their elven army to defend Cha'tak but receive news of its fall, and so return to the Enchanted Forest and send others to warn the nearby towns.

Sandra is asked by Lord Darkoth to recite from the book of S'ai Horthus, so that she can bring Shinde Imas.

Alex and Marj fight, as the whole group decides to venture on to Ardonia to meet with The Scribes, joined by Grappo and Kazan. On the way there, they run into ogres pummeling a small caravan. A wizard is fatally wounded there, and before he dies he bades the gang to take his daughter, and for Marjorie to have his copy of The Book of Tindiani in hoping that it will help her to develop her skills.

Kor makes an appearance as an officer under Ramus. Arrior Goldtree appears as the scout with the bad news about Cha'tak. Shinde Imas calls Lord Darkoth a halfbreed. There is a map of East Azoth in the inside back cover, and a river there called Black Adder.
