While on a diplomatic mission to the planet Circarpous IV, Luke and Leia crash-land on Circarpous V, also known as Mimban. Following a beacon signal, they stumble upon an illegal Imperial energy mining operation, the emissions of which forced them to crash in the first place. At a tavern, Luke and Leia are approached by an old woman named Halla. After a bit of conversation they try to get her to help them steal a ship so that they can get off planet. Halla agrees to help them, but only if they help her find a legendary crystal (Kaiburr Crystal) with the power to enhance The Force a thousand fold. As they leave the tavern, they attract the attention of local ruffians intent on a fight. Are Luke and Leia involved in more than they bargained for?
