The Hate Monger uses a hate ray on the band, The Million Megaton Explosion, to start a war of the young against the old, in part because Laura Brown has dragged Nick Fury to a concert by them. Not wanting to harm the youngsters hitting him with their guitars, he chooses to flee.

They announce their plans on what is apparently the Ed Sullivan show.

Nick Fury, after consulting with President Johnson, pursues the Hate Monger to his satellite in outer space. Beaten to a daze, Hate monger tries to escape to his private chamber, but, his vision impaired, he opens an airlock, jumps through, and asphyxiates shortly thereafter.

The members of The Million Megaton Explosion (singer Rick Jefferson, guitarists Jake Cooley and David Kies, and drummer Flowers Barton) are pardoned, not having had control of their actions.
