Synopsis:
Humanity's last hope for survival is a grizzled space-soldier with a second chance at glory! After centuries of interstellar warfare, the humans of the Planetary Union have a new weapon against the man-eating Saurians. He is Samandahl Rey, galactic mercenary, who wields the world-changing power of the glowing Sigil burned into his chest. Could it be that this interspecies death-match is but a prelude for an even more momentous conflict? Sam is back, but where's The Bitterluck? Zanni, JeMerik, and both Roiyas have crash-landed on a planet somewhere on the far side of the universe. A planet inhabited by species after species of the hungriest critters alive. They're outnumbered by a global population that sees them only as dinner.
