The “Love Hina” written by Ken Akamatsu is an endearing tale of Keitaro, the “ronin” who can’t seem to get his act together and enter Tokyo University. The motivation of his desperate attempts is a childhood promise made with a young girl with whom he is still in love with. After his latest failure, he leaves his home and finds himself at his Grandmother’s hotel, hoping for a temporary sanctuary to study. Little does he know his Grandmother is away traveling and he is trespassing at what is now a woman’s dormitory. The Hinata House becomes his home where his clumsy actions cause him to be the lovable butt of all jokes. The five female residents become his closest friends and they live together in turmoil and excitement. The love triangles, silly tales are quite similar to a soap opera.
