The Elves attack the trolls. The trolls attack the GoBack lodge. Rayek finsihes helping the stranded Holt Trolls across the chasm so they can join the battle, then hies off to join the battle himself.

Two-Edge on a balcony watching the battle doesn't notice as Ekuar tears through the imprisoning sack to melt the rock of the balcony over his feet and then is rescued by Rayek.

As the battle rages, Rayek struggles to use his levitation ability to raise the huge gate blocking the way to the castle and Ekuar guards him and helps him.

Finally, the battle is over, but Two-Edge is despondent since the conclusion didn't occur until after the balance was upset by the arrival of the Holt Trolls. But then realizes he can't run away -- he's melted to the floor.
