Notable for being the only complete comic ever drawn by Frank Frazetta. According to Frazetta, his ideas for the character of Thun'da were respected up until the fourth story in the book, whereupon intervention by editor Ray Krank gutted the character of his appeal. While the first three stories build up Thun'da as a "Tarzan-like character who gets trapped in a lost world", the fourth story removes Thun'da back to a "modern jungle", thereafter turning the series into "just another cardboard jungle comic".Creators for all stories are the same. There is some doubt about who the editor may have actually been. Frazetta says bluntly that the editing of Ray Krank was responsible for the watering-down of the character of Thun'da. However, other sources point to Vincent Sullivan as the editor.
