In 1945, Captain America and Bucky are ordered from the front lines to the U.S. to investigate Bruce Wayne (Batman). Meanwhile, Batman and Robin are tracking down the Joker. Cap and Batman learn one another's identities and team-up to find the Joker. It turns out the Joker and Cap's enemy, the Red Skull are working together, but the Joker is no Nazi and when he learns the Skull is, it's an all-out battle.
