Synopsis:
She's a Princess with a fiery spirit and a hot temper to match. He's a scoundrel with a mercenary's sensibility and the heart of a hero. Together they help topple an Empire and restore order to the galaxy...And if they stop fighting long enough, they just might realize that they're in love! Set during the days leading up to Episode V, Han Solo and Princess Leia find themselves trapped together on a downed starship, lost in the frozen wastelands of Hoth as a storm rages around them. And while the snow flies outside the ship, the sparks fly inside. No matter how hard they fight it, there's more going on between them than just friendship!

Reprinted/Collected in:
Star Wars Omnibus (2006) Omnibus TPB vol. 20
Star Wars: Empire (2002) TPB vol. 04

Notes:
This story's chronological setting is highly unusual in the Expanded Universe. Aside from Foster's Splinters, which was actually written between the releases of Episodes IV and V, the time between A New Hope and Empire has gotten very little attention by subsequent authors. This is mostly due to LucasBooks decree, who long ago blocked development of that part of the time line. The presence of this work, and indeed the whole of the Empire title is a sign of the thaw going on as Lucas himself finishes his opus and hands over bits of the Star Wars story line to others.
