This issue is predominantly monochromatic. There are some color pages, but these are reserved for photographs. There's a one page gag strip that's duotone, but the Doctor Who material is all black and white.
This issue was a little different from the other two in this series. First was the timing. This came out at a different time than the other two, making its arrival near Christmas, as opposed to the summer holidays of 1973 and 1974. Second was the nature of the strips. By and large there was little truly original comic material here. Most of the work here took old Third Doctor strips, inserted the image of the Fourth Doctor, and made a few dialogue changes where necessary (generally to excise references to UNIT and Sarah Jane Smith, both of which had by now been written out of the television series). This was the common practice in the last year or so of TV Comic's license with the BBC. Perhaps seeing the expiry of their license rapidly approaching, Polystyle found it cheaper to pay an artist merely to redraw one character in each frame, rather than ordering wholly new scripts and art. In some frames, however, careful readers will note that the art for the TARDIS had changed to reflect the fact the inclusion of the Secondary Control Room, then being used on TV.
