Synopsis: The Fantastic Four is invited to the African nation of Wakanda. They take along Johnny Storm's college roommate, Wyatt Wingfoot. The team is attacked by the Black Panther. The Panther separates them and defeats them one-by-one, but they are freed from their traps by Wingfoot. In the end, the Panther reveals himself to be King T'Challa of Wakada.
Synopsis: The Fantastic Four are visiting Wakanda for the first time as guests of King T'Challa. He recounts for them his tragic origin and that of the villain, Klaw.
Coincidentally, Klaw returns to finish what he started and steal vibranium for a super-weapon. With the help of the FF, the Black Panther is able to defeat Klaw...for now.
Synopsis: The Incredible Hulk falls from the sky, landing in a crater in the Canadian wilderness. He is found by a woman who lives nearby. The Hulk reverts to his human form as Bruce Banner and begins recovering. Unfortunately, the Canadian government sends Sasquatch after the Hulk. Sasquatch forces Banner to change into the Hulk and a fight ensues.
Synopsis: Inspired by a piece in The Daily Bugle, Spider-Man goes to visit a young boy named Tim. The young boy has a trunk full of Spider-Man souvenirs. Spider-Man demonstrates his powers and tells Tim his origin. He even tells Tim about Uncle Ben. Most shocking of all, he tells Tim who he really is, but the very end of the story is the big reveal.
Synopsis: Spider-Man (Peter Parker) attempts to foil a robbery, but is unsuccessful. Peter is just beginning school at Empire State University. When he can, he takes photos for the Daily Bugle to make some extra money. Peter's Aunt May didn't want him to know she was sick, but now she's in the hospital. Meanwhile, a mysterious adversary has big plans.
Synopsis: The mystery adversary from the previous issue is revealed to be Dr. Octopus. He's based in an underwater lair. It turns out Aunt May has radioactivity in her blood, so Peter turns to Dr. Connors for help. The stuff Connors orders for Aunt May is stolen by Octopus' men, and nothing will stop Spider-Man from getting it back.
Synopsis: Spider-Man (Peter Parker) needs to recover a stolen radioactive material and get it to Dr. Connors in order to save Aunt May's life. Only, he's trapped under tons of metal in an underwater lair and the roof is leaking. Spider-Man will have to summon the will power and strength to save himself and fight his way through Dr. Octupus' men to save his aunt's life.
Synopsis: Currently living a double life as Captain America and an architect, Steve Rogers' origin is recounted in great detail. He grew up a hard-worker on New York's lower east side. When World War II broke out, he volunteered for the army, but was rejected due to poor health. A top-secret military project took notice of him and made him a test subject. Fortunately, the test was successful, and Steve became Captian America.
When young "Bucky" Barnes discovered his secret identity, Cap made Bucky his costumed sidekcick. They spent the war fighting on the front lines and busting spy rings, until a tragic accident...
Cap was awoken years later to become an Avenger, and he doesn't regret a single thing.
Synopsis: A television journalist interviews Dr. Stephen Strange in his home. He recounts his origin story for them, but he is careful not to reveal too much because he knows the camera and sound people are three of his enemies in disguise. Strange forces them to reveal themselves and must fight them in his home full of magical artifacts, protecting the reporter in the process.
Synopsis: Since Colossus fell in love with the alien girl Zsaji on Battleworld, he decides to break his relationship with Kitty Pryde whose heart gets broken in the process. Rogue nearly kills herself in the Danger Room after the traumatizing experience she had with Michael Rossi. Meanwhile, Wolverine and Nightcrawler call on Colossus to explain his behavior toward Kitty. In the bar where they gathered, Colossus picks a brawl with the Juggernaut who only wanted a glass of beer and the company of a nice girl. After the fight, Colossus has to face the consequences of his actions. The “nice girl“ turns out to be Selene, who in the meantime left the bar with another customer, only to drain his life force.In Dallas, Valerie Cooper of the NSA and Raven Darkhölme of the Defense's department of research have a hearty talk about the mutant menace. Valerie isn't aware that Raven is really Mystique, leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
Synopsis: Wolverine is in Tokyo, Japan. His girlfriend, Mariko, has been kidnapped. He is expected to pay a ransom, but instead follows the trail to the replica-castle of a business man with Yakuza connections. He gets inside and fights Mandroid battle suits, the kidnapper was hoping to kill Wolverine to gain reputation among the Yakuza, but he gets more than he bargained for.
