From the inside cover:

In the early years of the twenty-first century --

Oh, how, I could tell you so much. How much have you already learned? Of course, how the stars fell, how the oceans rose -- didn't our cities burn, then? It was hell, those days; I can hardly describe it. It was like the marching of jackboots, the clank of the machines. They called themselves the Throne, and so we called them -- as we sent our soldiers across the seas, the whole world marshalled to fight these beasts who raped our world, razed our continent. But we knew nothing -- we could do nothing to stop the invaders.

The jackboot collapsed upon our faces -- how could we fight them? They could wipe away cities, travel fast than light --

-- but we have not yet fallen.

Hope is not yet lost.

Limited to only 5000 copies.
