Reprints the syndicated Dick Tracy comic strips spanning December 21, 1943 - May 17, 1944. In these wartime strips, Tracy is busting a black market ring that retaliates by recruiting a deadly hitman-- FLATTOP.

According to the indicia, the date of this treasury-sized edition is "Dec-Jan., 1975/1976."

The inside front cover features panels showing the evolution of the Dick Tracy strip from 1931 through 1954.

The two-page centerfold features "Dick Tracy's Rogues' Gallery" with portraits of 24 of Tracy's deadliest and most memorable adversaries.

Page 63 features "Dick Tracy Talks to Uncle Sam" concerning technology in the Tracy strips.

Page 64 features 12 one-panel installments of Crimestoppers Textbook.

The inside back cover boasts a self-portrait by Chester Gould over a text biographical article titled "Chester Gould: Detective of the Drawing Board."

1980's music fans may remember seeing Joe Strummer prominently reading a copy of this magazine in the video for The Clash's hit song "Rock the Casbah."
