2010-03-03 13:27:15 mikebo Notes Collects a story from issues #1-4 of Trident, an anthological title from the publisher of the same name. The story generated a great deal of press, both positive and negative. The British tabloid, The Sun--long a pro-Tory bastion--led the negative reaction to such a degree that pro-Thatcher elements started asking some rather awkward questions about it in the House of Commons.
2010-03-03 13:26:24 mikebo Synopsis A nameless teenager from the British North comes to London in hopes of assassinating Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He stakes her out, gun at the ready, as she makes a public appearance on July 15th, St. Swithin's Day. After some intense inner monologue which gives the reader his motivations for the kill, he closes in on his prey. Close to Thatcher, he steels himself for his task . . .
