Either way the story reads as a thinly-veiled criticism of Chinese policy towards the Himalayan kingdoms of Tibet (and Bhutan). Clark Kent as Superman and the Kobra Cult appear only in the 6-page framing sequence. Batman appears only as Bruce Wayne.
