Synopsis
|
|
The Black Panther is breaking up a caper, and is attacked by someone calling himself the Stinger. The Stinger subdues the Black Panther. Meanwhile, there is a black tie affair at the museum for the opening of a new exhibit, and Vision, Scarlet Witch, Yellowjacket, and Wasp are present. An elderly man an a bird-man called Bloodhawk barge in and demand to be given a totem, which they claim they need to save their island. A fight ensues between Bloodhawk and the Avengers. The fight is ended when Thor and Iron Man show up. The museum allows the Avengers to take the totem, as well as Blookhawk and the elderly man, whom Bloodhawk calls "teacher". Back at Avengers Mansion, the teacher tells them how Bloodhawk was born a mutant because of his father's genetic experiment on his mother, and how he took Bloodhawk and raised him on the island of Maura. He also tells how Maura used to be protected from evil forces by the magic of the totem which they tried to take at the museum. The Avengers vote, and a majority decide to help teacher & Bloodhawk. Several of them fly off to Maura with Bloodhawk, teacher, and the magic totem. The remaining Avengers are attacked and captured by the Stinger. The other Avengers arrive at Maura, to find a stone giant, over 100 feet tall, come to life.
