2012-04-25 10:33:49 Jason Doty Synopsis Once again, we open with the X-men during a training session. The Professor ‘feels’ the presence of a new mutant and sends the team, incognito, to investigate. Their target turns up as a sideshow at a local circus. The new mutant decides to go back with the X-men and once there proves to be nearly unstoppable. This new mutant escapes and summons his circus friends to try to take over the X-men’s HQ. They are ultimately defeated by the professor’s scientific knowledge. As the X-Men train, the Professor feels the presence of a new mutant and sends the team, incognito, to investigate. Their target turns up as a sideshow attraction at a local circus. The Blob decides to go back with the X-Men, where he learns of his mutant nature and invited to join the X-Men. He declines, but before Professor X can erase his memory, he proves to be more than a match for the X-Men and escapes. He returns to his circus and recruits the other members to launch an assault on the school. They are ultimately defeated by the X-Men and the Professor’s scientific knowledge which augments his telepathy. Erasing their memory of their encounter.
