Prize Publications Search for 'Prize Publications' on eBay Website: Click here for a history of this publisher's logos Notes: Crestwood Publications, also known as Prize Comics and Feature Publications, was a comic book publisher from the 1940s through the 1960s, though most of their titles were published in the 1950s. Its main claim to fame was that in the 1950s, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby became editors for the company, expanding it as Prize Comics and creating many new titles. This included the non-gory horror comic Black Magic, the creator-owned Fighting American, and the first romance comic title, Young Romance. The company shut down in 1963, selling off its remaining romance comics to DC.
