Reviews - Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter - #1

View this issue

Eh...could be better. - whoffkne
So I love Galactus story lines, so when I heard that this was going to be a mini-series where Beta Ray Bill decides to put an end to the god-like Galactus, I had to check it out.

I am personally not a huge fan of Thor/BRB/Thor Corps books, I do love Galactus, so not being well versed in those characters, I am not sure if this is normal or not, but they really did not do well on the character of BRB in this first issue. Thor and he are flying around and out of nowhere he decides to destroy Galactus, there really should have been more of a motivation there.

At least Beta Ray is rather hardcore and decides that if he cannot defeat Galactus, he will starve him to death. He finds out where Galactus is heading, and destroys the planet before Galactus can get there to devour it.

Overall, I love the plot, I am not impressed by the writing and characterization though.
