Why am I buying this? - MartyPrime
After I put the book down I serious said out loud … “Why am I buying this?” As it turns out I didn’t get issue 3 and you know what I didn’t even notice - so little is happening in this series - I don’t even need to read all the issues to follow what was going on. The art is nice but nothing special but the story is a disaster, everything was so random and all around pointless. There was no tension and again Wolverine was played as a basic brute killer - a pale shadow of what he used to be. The story offered no surprises and barely had a cliffhanger. This “event” has proven to be a bigger disappointment than Secret Invasion. I’m sure the creative team are doing their best and putting out the best book they can …but I am clearly not the demographic they are going for with this series. I did try out Marvel’s AR feature on this book and found that to be a step in the right direction for interactive comics … but they needed more content, or at least content that interested me - the cover recap and the guy talking about how to end worlds were the only ones worth the effort it took to get the app to work.
