    Beasts of Berlin
Search for 'Beasts of Berlin' on Amazon

Bio:
Created by communist Russia using a ray that could increase the intelligence of animals to human levels. The Beasts of Berlin were sent to stop Giant-Man (Henry Pym) who had come to Berlin to rescue a friend who had been arrested and accused of being a spy by the communist government.

Later, the Beasts of Berlin joined forces with numerous enemies of Henry Pym under the command of Quicksilver (during the days of his mental breakdown where he turned evil) as the People's Defense Force. The PDF fought with the West Coast Avengers who were tricked into going to Hungary by Quicksilver to find Pym's long dead first wife under the pretense she may have still been alive. The PDF forced The Avengers to surrunder. They eventually broke free and defeated the PDF.

First Appearance: Tales To Astonish #60 (October 1964).
