Bio:
Mondo Gecko, Ray Fillet, Leatherhead, Merdude, Dreadmon, Jagwar, and their fellow sentient animal-like heroes Wingnut and Screwloose formed a team called the Mutanimals (abbreviated from mutant animals). However, Wingnut and Screwloose are no mutants, they come from the fictional planet Huanu. Creators Stephen Murphy and Ryan Brown created the team based on their characters and those of other artists such as Dean Clarrain and Steve Lavigne. Author Dean Clarrain later killed them off.

After the cancellation of their series, the entire team died in a massacre that made news because it was a surprising occurence in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, a TMNT comic primarily aimed at kids. The story was also surprising because it had involved time travel and therefore could easily have undone the deaths (the way Marty McFly's father had died and his death was undone, both due to time travel, in the movie Back to the Future II), and yet did not undo the deaths. In fact, future versions of some of the Turtles said that the Mutanimals had died at the wrong time, that their deaths already involved an alteration of history.

Because these comics were different in style and storyline and came from an alternate publisher, they are not part of official Turtles canon.
