Witchblade Gallery   (2000)

Publisher: Top Cow Productions (Image Comics)

Publication Date: November 2000

Country: United States

Language: English

For those fans who just can’t get enough of a beautiful woman clad only in sharp bits of enchanted, biomechanical metal, here is the sumptuous Witchblade Gallery, featuring truly tantalizing pinups from some of comicdom’s best artists of the 1990s. The gallery also features some background text on detective Sara Pezzini, Iain Nottingham, Kenneth Irons, and their various links with the mysterious weapon known as the Witchblade. For good measure, interspersed with the sexy drawings are a few publicity photos of Yancy Butler, who played the gorgeous young Detective Pezzini in the Witchblade TV series. The featured artists include creator Mark Silvestri (Wolverine, Cyberforce), Humberto Ramos (Impulse, Crimson), Gary Frank (Incredible Hulk), and Brandon Peterson (Uncanny X-Men, Mystic). As gallery comics go, this one doesn’t have a broad range—the artists all portray the character in a very similar style. But what a style! If you want comics’ cheesecake, look no further.
