Country: United States
Title ran from 1926-1995, 1998-2000 and 2004-2005 under various publishers. Originally a pulp magazine, Hugo Gernsback's Amazing Stories is generally credited with being the first magazine devoted to science fiction. The magazine continued from its April 1926 launch until 1995, when TSR couldn't find a buyer for the magazine. Amazing Stories returned in 1998, but ended again in 2000. Paizo Publishing relaunched Amazing Stories in 2004 until 2005, when the company announced that the title would go on hiatus. Paizo later announced that it would no longer publish Amazing Stories, and (as of July 2007) has not been relaunched. Paizo's website still offers Amazing Stories back issues, along with a PDF download of #609, apparently because the print edition of #609 was canceled. Occasionally, Amazing Stories' title has been changed to Amazing Science Fiction.
