Miss Melody Lane of Broadway   (1950)
Search for 'Miss Melody Lane of Broadway' on eBay

Publisher: DC Comics

Publication Date: Feb/Mar 1950 - Jun/Jul 1950

Country: United States

Language: English

Notes:
MIss Melody Lane of Broadway was very much the sister publication to MIss Beverly Hills of Hollywood. Like its predecessor, it posited a would-be star who wanted to break into the business. The difference was that Lane's ambitions were focused on the theatre while Hills wanted to be a movie star.

Both publications were largely excuses to give publicity to various real-life stars.

Because of the way in which television arose out of New York and the radio industry, many of the featured stars in this series would today be recognized as 50s television stars more than the Broadway veterans that they actually were.
