Beatrix (Tales of)   (1996)
Search for 'Beatrix (Tales of)' on eBay

Publisher: MU Press

Publication Date: March 1996

Country: United States

Language: English

Notes:
Beatrix is an ordinary girl who only wants an ordinary life, but after a drive-by shooting is rescued by inter-dimensional beings who give her a jump suit that confers invulnerability. The hitch is, it won't come off. And by shielding her from danger it also exempts her from any needs, such as sleep, food, drink, air... or sex. Sunk to the level of a superhero, Bea is more worried about making the rent. The character was created by Steven Gallacci, and appeared in a small number of short stories written and drawn by diverse hands before the first issue. The early shorts all occur before Bea acquires "the suit". The three issues and final story were drawn by Taral Wayne. Taral shares writing credit with Steve for the "after suit" stories. After one issue with Mu, the funny animal title moved to Vision Comics for two issues. Bea appeared in one other story in Valiant Varmints, by Shanda Fantasy Press.
