Though this title didn't start as the home of Sgt. Rock, it quickly became effectively the Sgt. Rock solo title. Still, it stubbornly refused to drop the Our Army at War moniker, no matter how large the Sgt. Rock logo grew on its cover. It was only in 1977—perhaps in deference to the fact that the US Army was finally no longer engaged in war—that the title became, simply, Sergeant Rock.
