Silver Streak Comics   (1939)
Search for 'Silver Streak Comics' on eBay

Publisher: Lev Gleason Publications

Publication Date: December 1939 - November 1946

Country: United States

Language: English

Title Continuity:
Silver Streak Comics (1939) #21 continues to Crime Does Not Pay (1942) #22

Notes:
For a 21-issue series, Silver Streak Comics has an unusually complicated publishing history. Issues 1 and 2 were technically not published by Lev Gleason, but instead Arthur Bernhardt's Rhoda Publications. Gleason took over at issue 3.

The imprints under which the title was published are even more confusing. Issues 1-7 were under Your Guide Publications; Gleason bought not just the comic but the imprint as well from Bernhardt. Issues 8-17 went under the New Friday banner. The title ended under Comic House Publications, which went on to become the major imprint under which Gleason published.

Image Comics published Silver Streak Comics #24 with a cover date of December 2009 utilizing characters from throughout the original run of Silver Streak Comics. This issue can be found in the database under the title The Next Issue Project (2008).
